Apo Island is a small island located in the town of Dauin
but the main port going to the island is located in Zamboangita town. The
island is a popular site for scuba diving and snorkelling. It is known as one
of the best dive spots in the Philippines. There are several resorts in the
island. Electricity in the island is generated from gas-powered generators.
There is also a source of fresh water Apo Island. The beach in Apo Island is
mainly composed of dead corals and some parts are mainly rocks.

How to get there:
From Manila, ride a plane bound for Dumaguete City. From
Dumaguete Airport, go to the bus terminal and ride a bus bound for Bayawan and
get off at Malatapay Market, Zamboangita town. From Malatapay, rent a boat to
Apo Island.
Travel time:
Manila to Dumaguete City - 1 hour
Dumaguete to Barangay Malatapay - 30 to 45 minutes
Malatapay to Apo Island - 20 to 30 minutes
